Hi Folks,
This is sort of a random subject, but . . . while on
the way back from Carlisle in m '71 Imperial a couple
of weekends ago, the odometer clicked over 240,000.
I think this is pretty good. :o) Admittedly, I've
done a LOT of work to this car in the 14 years that
I've owned it, but much of it is still original. The
car had 131,000 miles on it when I got it in 1988.
So I'm wondering how other Imperials have fared for
high mileage. Who else has Imperials with 100K, 200K
or more miles?
(And let's try to contain this one to Imperials, in
the interest of the rules of the list, please).
My Grandmother's '71 Imperial went to 400,000+ before
she retired it. I guess I'm shooting for a similar
goal! Actually, I've been driving this car regularly
ever since I bought it, and I plan to continue to do
so until all fossil fuels are exhausted, or I myself
become a fossil, whichever comes first.
Elijah
