Imps & TENT at Chrysler Nationals in Carlisle, PA

All:

Just today I booked my hotel room for Carlisle. This will be my "first
time". I was surprised there are still rooms available in Harrisburg,
albeit at increased rates for Friday & Saturday!

Unfortunately my '73 is in no shape to drive, but I wanted to come down and
see what Carlisle is all about and hopefully meet some of my fellow IML'ers.
(I hope I can be forgiven for arriving in a '97 Ford Escort!) I am thinking
this might be very inspirational as far as getting my restoration project
completed is concerned.

If the organizer (Mark?) of the "Imperial tent" can provide any info that
would make finding it any easier, I would appreciate it. Any other advice
on how to get the most out of the show in 2 days (I plan to arrive Thursday
night and drive home on Sunday) would also be appreciated. I hear it is a
pretty big show and it maybe almost impossible to see everything in just two
days. I am especially interested in seeing '72 & '73 Imperials and checking
out the swap meet for wheel covers and other odds & ends.

Oh, by the way, I assume the "tent" is where all the IML'ers will go to meet
each other, whether or not they brought an Imperial to the show. Is this
correct?

Mark, do we have a headcount for folks coming to
Carslile. And how many do we need for the free tent?
Do you have any idea where on the showfield the
Imperial tent will be?

We have quite a contingency from the south but only
one car on the showfield (elijah's 71). I'm bringing
my 73 but it will be in the car corral in slot K177
and unfortunately doesn't count. Robert Soule, Jeff
Carrothers, and Mark Harris are also coming up.
