Hi all up till today I was thinking that I understood atleast a bit of cars I chanced the distrubitor on my 57 nice thing to do if you feel board lots of space to work old one had no mecanical or facum advance any more within one hour I had the holddown plate out then I put new distrubitor in new plugs new wires new rotor and cap and a new coil I put the new cables on exacle the same as the old one's came off preset the distubitor and started Car runs good to be sure timing light NO timing mark in sight adjusting the distrubitor when the engine almost stalls I could she the last timing mark when I adjust till is hears right no marks in sight What am I dooing wrong ??? I think best option is not to use timing light any more and don't bother about is When car runs fine its fine but like to know what I did wrong Thanks Remco ps hope its writing clear enough Am from the netherland and have sometimes problems with tecnical words Thakns again
