I am new to this list and have recently purchased a 68 Crown that had
quite a bit of work done on it by a previous owner and is in very good
condition overall. The carb on the engine was rebuilt, and it has
pertronix electronic ignition. The problem I encounter is that when the
engine is cold, I have to pump the accelerator 10 times or more to get
the engine to start. When the engine is warm, one pump or holding the
accelerator down partway does the trick. I am wondering if this could
be a problem with the automatic choke or???? Any suggestions are
appreciated - thanks!
