Bill,
Texas is a big place, ya know. If I was not such a poor
driver, I could really take offence to your remarks. I go to
Fredericksburg frequently and have yet to reduce any of it's animal, vegetable
or mineral population - yet. If my driving is your biggest safety concern
in Texas, you live a charmed life, sir. As penance for egregious remarks
you are now honour bound to inform of your impending visit so I can arrange a
little get together on your behalf. There are at least a couple of list
members who would come.

Hugh,
We have
been thinking of a trip to Texas, but have started wondering if it would be
safe, with you running around in that big Imperial. I don't know for
sure when this trip will be, but will not start out until you promise that you
will stay in San Antonio, as I plan on being north of there, perhaps by 100
miles, around Fredricksburg. I will let you know later when we plan to leave
so that I can get your promise that you well stay off the roads, at least
north of the Alamo. If by chance I would get lost and end up in your neck of
the woods, be on the alert for two old people, acting confused, only because
we are, in a large diesel motor home towing a red Dodge Intrepid, both with
Indiana plates.
