coolant overflow tanks

I had such a problem years ago with this particular year car -  getting one to fit. I bought a new one at Cadillac, they'd had such a device early on. It fits nicely behind the front yoke, between the AC discharge line and the the inside of the right front fender well. It is generous in size and worked for me for many years. I also bought the cap with the two valves in it. By the way, there's a lot of talk now on our site about the amount of water and antifreeze to have in the system. Those who recommend no more than fifty percent are correct. What isn't being said is that the molecules of ethylene glycol are much smaller than molecules of water; the glycol molecules actually fit in between those of water, hence a 50/50 concentration is fine, and to go more "rich" with the glycol. the freezing point actually rises. If you should add a gallon of water and a gallon of glycol, you would have less than two gallons of solution......Bob Harris

 I would like to have a coolant overflow tank on my 67 IMP, I have been looking in wrecking yards for one that would fit from some other car , but they are all odd  shapes(made for specific applications and don't fit in the imp very well, has anybody found one from another car, or an aftermarket one that fits well?, thanks Mike Becker
