This past Saturday, my Le Baron arrived from Lewistown, Pennsylvania. Ben's
description is about 99 percent accurate EXCEPT that the car doesn't have
any power on hills. Actually, the speed drops dramatically from 35 - 45 to
about 10 MPH before the car stalls. Prior to stalling, if I back off of the
accelerator and then give the car some gas, it reacts a little bit by
gaining some speed before cutting out again.
My brother tested the valves for compression. No problem there (120). He
also replaced the plugs. Could it be the fuel pump? On level road, the car
maintains 45 - 55 without skipping or stalling.
Thanks.
