Hi Mike, The dash lights are supposed to stay on when the interior lights are on with the switch rotated all the way to it's stop. Your switch just has dirty contacts or the wiper is getting tired. If you take it out and clean and adjust it you will see how it works. By the way guys, if your dash light dimmere are erratic and you do not repair them, you will cause them to ruin themselves quickly because the resistance will get higher and cause heat to build up on the little wiper arm, ruining the spring tension and possibly destroying it beyond repair.
