bill ...you mean to tell me you dont have at least one or more already??? i do have the AMT hdt and convt...i also have a clean unpainted convrt i can paint and detail for someone....its always been curious to me....for years i have shown model collectors and builders my collection.....as they look...they will say ...how much for that one?........i will ask....its 250.00 ...is it for your collection?...they have inevitably all said...no!...i want to build it!...(after protecting these for all these years ...i find it odd that someone wants to destroy the value of something like this...simply for a model... I dont sell it when i hear this...instead i say... if you want a model of that year...ill make a quick mold of it for 60.00 to 100.00 and you dont have to destroy an original........ that always works out better...and i keep the kit intact.......stan ----- Original Message ----- From: Imperial59crown@xxxxxxx Sent: Friday, March 08, 2002 2:03 AM To: mailing-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: IML: IMPERIAL MODEL KITS...AMT Stan, If you have any 1959 Imperial models please let me know, I would be very interested in one, since I probably had about ten of these back in 1959, but who knows what happened to them? Most likely lost in moves from one house to another. I can't remember destroying any of them, like I used to do to with my old airliner models, I used to like to see the thick black smoke coming from the burning plastic. Yes, I was a weird child, but I loved my Imperials, and would love to reconstruct one today. Whenever I go to hobby shops I always check the shelves to see if they started making them again. They are getting close, the other day I saw a '57 Chrysler 300m, and a '57 Plymouth Fury as new releases. let me know if you have the '59 Imperial, either convertible or hardtop. I would be very interested, and would rather buy direct, than dealing on eBay where most of the friction models are all warped out of shape. You can contact me off the list at Imperial59cro wn@xxxxxxxx Please put 1959 Imperial in the subject line, so I don't accidentally delete it. Thanks, Bill '59 Crown
