Today I finally got my new exhaust on my '59 Imperial, and when I got it back this afternoon, I decided to take it out on the freeway for the first time, since it is now safe enough to do so. I jumped on the I-5 and headed for San Juan Capistrano. I went up to 80, and it handled like a dream. I was having so much fun driving it, when I got off the freeway at San Juan, I headed out to Pacific Coast Highway, at which time the sun was setting, and then headed north from Dana Point all the way up to Newport Beach. Driving that car along Pacific Coast Highway during sunset, and on a beautiful day to boot, was a dream come true. I felt like I was in a live ad for the Imperial! At Newport, I headed back to the freeway for some fast driving again, and then home. Just thought I'd share with the list the great day I had! Bill '59 Crown
