My 78 NYB has started to show a tiny bit of rust behind the right rear wheel at a point just above the bottom of wheel well. Since the rust is showing along a line about 1 foot long I'm wondering if anyone else has had this experience. Why just the right fender? If anyone out there has had this type of body work done pleas tell me how the problem was corrected. In example I have heard the term bondo used but this does not seem to me to be the proper longterm fix for a car you plan to keep. Do the body shops recommend replacing the metal or what. Anyone who has had this problem on their former or present car and decided on a fix that pleased them then a sharing of your experience would be appreciated.
