I've noticed a similar problem. I'm a member of two different Yahoo Group lists. When you click reply, the outgoing message gets sent both to the group and to the individual who sent the initial message. You've got to pay attention to whom your message is being sent, and manually delete the individual and leave the Yahoo Group as the sole intended recipient.
Another issue: My ISP, Earthlink/Mindspring, blocks messages from individuals who are not in my address book, on the supposition that the message is spam. Even though I have these two Buick Riviera lists in the address book, incoming messages are read by the ISP as having been sent by the individual, and go into a spam blocker folder.
