The "aircraft interior" was available as an option for the Crown Four
Door. The interior looks similar to the Crown Coupe standard interior.
I have no idea how many were made, but they were special order only. In
my years of looking, I have only seen a handful, compared to the
standard Crown Four Door interior. The first 1965 Imperial Crowns that
I saw were sitting along the back lot of Burbank Chrysler-Plymouth in
October 1964, just as they were unloaded from the transporter. Two
white and one beige. They all had the standard interior one all red
leather.
The "aircraft interior" is a very nice option to have and I think adds
more luxury to the car. My '65 Crown Four Door has the standard bench
seating with beige brocade fabric and gold leather bolsters.

Subject: RE: IML: have question on my 1965 Crown
. My question is: does anyone have any idea of how rare/unusual they
are in my car or how many 1965 Crown hardtop cars were produced with
the aircraft style seats instead of the standard bench? I am curious to
find out more.
Thank you for all your help and assistance - I really appreciate the
Imperial Club website - it has been a wonderful resource.

I don’t really know what you mean by aircraft style bucket seats. Can
you provide a link to a picture of this type seat on the club website?
As far as power seats go they were not very rare at all. Most every
Imperial of the Crown or LeBaron model I have seen have had the power
seats while some of the Customs have not had them.
