New Leaf springs are available. There are also places in most major industrial areas that can make them to specification.

I don't know how many companies still make them, but I was glad to find them. I've been told by a local spring shop that they no longer re-arch leafsprings, as they tend to just fall back to their previous arch too quickly;
they recommend adding a leaf or two instead. the trunk of the car).Those Monroe Air Shocks can be "pumped up" just like a tire (same type of
valve) to compensate a sagging rear end.I am very happy with them, the car is level now (and I even can raise the rear higher if I want, to compensate for heavy loads) and the ride is still
smooth. Robert 1960 Crown ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Strohmeyer" <chrisstroh@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <mailing-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, February 25, 2008 6:33 AM Subject: IML: shocks to level 67 Imperial Convertible
Can anyone who's had first hand experience with rear shocks and heavy Imperials guide me to what to get. One of my rears is leaking so it'stime for shocks and I was wondering if there's a particular one you
who
recommend that would also lift my sagging car a bit at the rear. Iremember long ago seeing those heavy duty ones with the additional
coil
spring around the body of the shock? Any thoughts? Thx, Chris 67 Imperial Convertible haze green ----------------- http://www.imperialclub.com -----------------This message was sent to you by the Imperial Mailing List. Please
