You pretty much have to use what's there. Mostly it needs cleaning. The 
backing can be broken, and still work, as long as it isn't broken with 
a piece missing. If you are use to this sort of work, you shouldn't 
have any trouble, if not, you will probably end up with a worse 
situation. Check the list for repair services. There are folks out 
there that can fix it. I have had mine apart and successfully repaired 
it. I also stocked up with extras back when they were available. 
Imperial Heaven or Lowell Howe may have one for sale. Check to OIC for 
contact info.

My 61 Lebaron has 2 of the pins broken off the back of the drivers door 
window switch. The brown bakelite looking material that holds the pins 
is broken too. My car has electric vent windows so there are 6 switches 
in the unit. Do I have to replace the whole unit or does that thing 
open up to allow you to service it? Where could I get the parts?
