Re: IML: 1967 Convertible door stretcher

hi guys,

I had a weird thing happen tonight on my newly delivered 'vert. The door stretcher [power passenger seat] moved the seat up [once I worked the kinks out of it by running it forward and back] and before I noticed it, got stuck under the dash and wouldnt reverse. It was actually the optional headrest on mine that got caught - fortunately I was able to pull it out with some force.

Watch out for this - the seat back pushed down makes the whole seat move forward, and you cant reverse the seat because you cant lift the seatback - a little design flaw, in an otherwise wonderful design.

Gradually most of my car is coming alive after years of sitting. Windows that didnt work are working and I almost have the power door locks working as they should.

The photos of the car made it look mint, but there are lots of interior parts that need to be rejuvenated, and horrors of horrors, there is MacTac on the radio door! i will try and do a DIck Benjamin style of restoration on my wood in the Spring.

Im having fun just before old man winter comes in earnest.
