Chris, any time you go for a #1 restoration; you're in big $$$ territory.  Unlike a really good #2, it's beyond the skills of any one person, so there won;t be much to save in labor you do for yourself.  But hey, if the kids are through school, the house is already paid off, and the pension fund isn't underwater: why not?

As you know I have a 67 Imperial Convertible.  In the back of my mind I sometimes fantasize about if I had the money I would like to see my car restored ground up.  I keep thinking of what a tremendous expense this would be and certainly wouldn't be cost effective (it rarely is).

Any of you forumites heard of a 67 Convertible being restored to a #1 car?
