Gradually, the hood insulation pad began to disappear. In the springPaul's message reminds me of another storage tip . . . when I was a teenager, we had problems with squirrels and rats eating the hood insulation and spark plug wires of any cars that were parked outside. The solution was to place a handful of moth balls on top of the air cleaner and the intake manifold. Replace as needed through the storage season, and the rodents will stay away.
