I missed the first of this thread. Also, I don't know if a '62 Imperial has
the tailshaft brake or the later park brake in the rear brake set up. My
experience with the later setup, where the park brake cables operate on the
rear shoes, is that sticking or misadjusted park brake cables are usually
responsible for new shoes being expanded too much for the drum to mount.
