Jim,

I was just thinking about that last night, so I looked at it.  On my 64 it looks like I can reach a long screwdriver through the grill and into a small slot on the latch, just to the left of where the cable attaches. If I can get enough leverage to twist it, it might open the latch.

Yesterday the hood release cable broke on my '65 Crown Coupe. Naturally the hood 
is latched. Does anyone have any suggestions as how to get the hood open without
