I wonder if a radiator repair shop couldn't solder
that. Am going to try and match what I have with picture of motors on IML.
I wonder if my 65 Imperial LeBaron would be the same as yours? If so, I can
compare the Cornets to it. I have 2 of those 65 Cornet complete units
laying around.......and then there is the 78 Vans. If you find you can use
any of it let me know and I'll run it up to you.....NO CHARGE. It aint fun to be
down. I have a similar problem with my power steering unit. If you call and we
aren't here, leave a message as we won't be far and will get right back to
you.

hello Chad:
am in Louisville now. It is 10:45 pm. Wednesday night.
We will be here till Saturday morning.
I will try to discribe the unit. It comes off the front of
the compressor. Has a cap to test the high side at that point. It is a fitting
with a 90 degree and turns toward the drivers side. Goes about 2 inches and
has a bend toward the rear and driver side. Then straight for a few inches to
the muffler and that turns down and rearward. At the bottom is a 90 degree
fitting and the flexible hose comes off that point. At the bottom of my
muffler is where the freon leaks where it is welded or soldered to the fitting
at the muffler. I know a picture is better, but this is the best for what I am
in and able to describe. I hate to see you take something apart and it is
wrong. I will see here in the morning what we can find and am still checking
all the responses from the club. Thank you for writing and I will let you know
what I find. joe machado

George,
I'm not sure what part you want as I know nothing
about air conditioning. I have a complete system off of a 78 dodge (360 motor)
and most everything from a 65 dodge cornet. You are welcome to any of it if
you can use it. I live 120 miles from Louisville in Jamestown Kentucky. I will
be in Louisville on the14th or would bring it to you if you need it before
then. Let me know as I'll have to take it off the Van. I'll look around today
and see if anyone may have something different (closer to what you
need) as there are a lot of Mopar fans around here. Our Phone# 270 343
3217. Please feel free if we can be of any help at all.

Does anyone have an air conditioner muffler and metal tubing
from a 61 Imperial, or any Mopar of the same design? I will be in Louiville,
Ky on Wednesday coming back from Carlisle, Pa. I have my wife with me and
she is overheating in the hot humid weather. She is used to the hot dry
climate and I would like to make it comfortible for her. I will pay for your
time, all of it, an for the part, just name it as I will not try to get it
cheaper from you. Then it will be easy to install, provided I also can get
gaskets and or copper ring gaskets. I am carrying the R12 freon with me. I
left my charging equipment at home. I will try to check my email tonight as
we are headed for New Holland, Pa in a few minutes. We are just leaving
Carlisle, Pa. It is 10:15am, Monday. In case, my cell is 760 413 9602, or my
wife's cell, being all the same numbers, except the last digit is a 1
instead of a 2. So, I would truly appreciate any help in this area to
comfort her. I will have to fly her home after Louiville if I cannot find
and get it repaired. & lt; br> The reason for the 2
stops mentioned, New Holland, Pa and Louiville, Ky is we have relatives we
will be staying with. We will leave New Holland noon on Tuesday and arrive
Wednesday sometime, afternoon about. I am towing a 28 foot trailer with the
61 LeBaron. It has my cell # on the back door of the trailer. Thank you all,
and I hope to get something done so WE can travel home together. I would
even, if their are any, a wrecking yard piece. joe

Try restoration Specialties. They should have what you
want.
