Is that correct?Richard Burgess wrote: I think that means dual exhaust. That is a possibility, however, the sheet clearly says dual 4BBL carburetors. If they were mounted on the "wing" type intake manifolds it would have probably still been possible to have factory AC on the car. Who knows for sure. Most of the Imperial convertibles I have seen had dual exhaust as a standard item. As someone else mentioned, some of the cars were built with unusual combinations of optional items. President Sukarno of Indonesia ordered a fin era Imperial with no fins! I guess they took a saws-all to them and then hammered them into shape, welded the top of the metal together and added the necessary lead solder to smooth things out.My dream Imperial of that era would have been one equipped with a 426 Hemi. engine and the wing manifolds with two 4BBL carburetors. I always liked the arrangement for the spark plugs on the original Hemi. - valve covers completely covered up and shielded from water, oil etc. The cover plate would have been a nice place to put on a special "Imperial" engine decal ( with the Imperial Eagle in gold finish).Joseph W.
