Hmm, actually the Grosse Pointes are mostly south of
Eight Mile Rd.  And yes the "mile roads" have always
been helpful in navigating around the sprawling Metro
Detroit area.  Besides the numbered mile they also
have "real" names, e.g. Six Mile is also McNichols.

Wish I had been to Eyes on Design, though.  Thanks for
posting earlier about that show and the show at
Greenfield Village.  Those are always awesome events.
