When you vacuum down the system, the vacuum will pull almost all of the oil out of the lines.  The "oil charge" that comes with the retrofit kit is a mixture of R-134a and the correct refrigerant oil.

There is also oil in the sump on the bottom of the compressor.  You can check it with a dipstick, as is shown in the Factory Service Manual and the nifty RV-2 video on the club's website (http://www.imperialclub.com/Repair/Lit/Films/335/)
