Folks, I have a seperate file-folder in my inbox
especially for movie and TV Sightings that I've been
amassing for awhile from suggestions sent in by
visitors to the club website. If you see an Imperial
onscreen, please let me know about it off-list? Check
the website first, tho... we already have the easy
stuff. That Munsters one sounds pretty
out-of-the-way.

Imperials are freakin everywhere, and in a strange
sort of way that really bugs some of my buddies, cause
I can conjure Imperials out of the woodwork in pop
culture repeatedly (and their hobbies can't do the
same).

My gal likes horror and got me to go see SILENT HILL,
which has some really disturbing and unsettling
fantasy scenes in it. I survived those, and just
efore the plot clips a wing and starts doing
cartwheels across the runway before crashing in a ball
of flame, the supreme council of bad guys shows up for
a meeting in long, dark, square cars for the flick of
an eye's worth. I drew my breath in as I realized
what I'd seen in 3 seconds (that's 75 frames or
something), only to start poking my seat-mate with an
elbow as the camera flips to a close-up grainy image
of (a girl?) leaving the backseat of the formal car,
her face framed by chrome trim at the familiar
Imperial rear door window shape, AND A GRAINY CHROME
EAGLE ON THE C-PILLAR of a 67/68 Imperial! Whoo Hoo!
Just got my $9 back in entertainment value.

Don't watch that movie with kids around, but the 8
seconds of Imperial screen time and the really wacko
stuff in the first 2/3 of the movie make it worth a
try.

Hey, that brings me back around: Anyone here want to
be grabbing film clips for posting to the site? We
have stuff posted there now, but nobody has really
concentrated on getting new stuff in the MOVIES dept.
for awhile. You'd have to have the ability to do the
capture, and I suspect a subscription to netflix or
some other deep source of movies. There are worse
ways to blow through spare time....

Like I said, I have a list of titles that's just
begging to be gotten. Sadly, the playboy one with the
naked ladies on the bug-eye car was already posted to
the site, so you'll have to work pretty hard to top
that one. Seen that one?

Look in 57-63 SCREEN STARS, I think.
