Hi Burt-
I have used Lexol Leather Cleaner and Lexol
Leather Conditioner on my cars for years. Recently, when I pulled the
interior of my '60 Imperial out of the basement some surfaces were like
cardboard. I used the conditioner over a period of about two months and it
brought the leather back to the point where I wasn't afraid it would shatter if
somone sat on it. It has a long way to go but actually you can reverse the
aging process to a certain degree. Depending on where you live regular
treatment with Lexol should do the trick for you. In Oregon, with the cars
garaged, I use it about every six months. In Las Vegas, sitting outside,
I'd use it monthly.
Some members swear by Leatherique (Sp?) and in
reading about that product it does look good - I just have no personal use of
it.
Good Luck
