Hi, It's a problem which occurs sometime after hundred and hundred of starting sequences, my car had this problem so the previous owner replaces the switch with a .. recent ignition switch with a starting position !!! When i restored the car i re-wired the starting switch but i could repair it because i removed the dash .. Problem comes from the bracket which supports the starting switch. The metal is too thin, thus the bracket bends and the contact switch button is too far to be activated !! The only solution is to bend a little the bracket (clockwise) . But i think you have to remove the control housing assembly to do that !!!.
