All in all, it did OK, but not fantastic.  It has prevented the master cylinder from rusting, but it does not resist brake fluid.  If brake fluid spills on the paint, the paint will come off in that area (and then, of course, that spot
 rusts).

But it was relatively cheap, and as long as you're careful checking the brake fluid, it works fine.  I also found that if brake fluid does spill on it, if it's cleaned up quickly, it won't hurt the paint.
