1965 Imperial didn't come with an electric choke.

I don't believe it has an electric choke, but the solenoid where the red battery cable goes in is near there.  I'm hoping he just knocked the cable loose.

I'm not sure how you can kill all the electricals with a slap on the side of the carb with a wrench but if my roomate did that to my Imperial I'd be tempted to see what I could do for his "electricals" with a slap to the side of his head with the same wrench!
 
Just a thought, does the '65 have an electric choke?
