Pete,About a year ago I was looking under the hood of my 65. At first I thought that one of those radiators were for tranny cooling, but closer inspection revealed that 2 were for the A/C system. I had not seen this before. And yes, I only have the single/front A/C. Now I know that one is a condenser and one is a subcooler!

Looks like my original post became scrambled electrons in space. Here's another attempt. -----Original Message----- From: Pete Engel [mailto:peter.engel@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, April 02, 2007 4:17 PM To: 'mailing-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: 64-66 with A/CI have a question for members owning 64-66 Imperials with A/C. Do cars withsingle (front) a/c have the so-called "subcooler" mounted ahead of the a/ccondenser? This part looks like a condenser and seems to be used along withthe regular condenser; the brackets on it indicate that it mounts ahead ofthe regular condenser. The question is whether the thing is used on all a/cequipped cars or only dual a/c cars. Pop your hoods and take a look!
