Please remember to change the title of the email if

Rubber sealed worse than the cork, but at least it
peels off. I tried several differenct combos without
success. Could be the cover, but I don't think so.
My present solution is the more rigid cast aluminum
ones that are rigid.
I used copper colored form-a-gasket on the HP engine
that I built and it sealed so well that I had trouble
taking them off when I had to check something.
The 73 engine really wants a ring and vale job, and
it'll get that sometime and I'll go after the leak
then. It tends to tighten up with semi-regular use.
