Matt, there's good news, and there's bad news. The freeze plugs you can see, (good), with care and perseverance, can be changed, however there are two plugs in the bellhousing area,(only small block), that can not be replaced, without engine, or trans. removal.(bad).This would be a good time to decide if your trans. needs work, or if the trans comes out  just to change freeze plugs.
