Self-Introduction: Hi - I'm Mike and I want to reconnect with the chrysler products of my past. I had plenty of them and the most memorable are my '68 Imperial convertible, my export '65 300L convertible and a '66 Hemi Satellite I bought and maintained as a street racer type car for my best friend. Throw in a Hemi powered fuel altered and a memorable trip to Bonneville in a '69 Dodge Hemi, 4-speed Coronet. My Partner and I ran 156 mph on the salt flats and nearly as fast on the way home to L.A. through Nevada. Through all these years my daily driver was a restored '66 Chrysler Town and Country that I wish I had never sold. I got side tracked with a 302 Ford powered E-Type and several '32 Ford Roadster projects. All early Hemi powered and never quite finished. After the lifelong dream of living in my own vintage modern house -The Laing House by Harwell Hamilton Harris 1935- I realized that hillside living was not for me and my car addiction and I tried living in an airplane hangar like Steve McQueen surrounded by all my toys. It was pretty cool but I am glad I moved out to the desert with wide open spaces and long empty byways. Which brings me back to my first love. Mother Mopar with all her beautiful children. I started looking for a '57 or '58 Imperial to restore. Preferably a convertible but a coupe with stainless roof trim would also be quite magnificent. The club website is very nice and gives me needed inspiration when I get tempted by lesser cars. Inferials as Tony Lindsey once explained them to me....
