I'm short on memory for where bodies are buried, but that drawing appears in one of the 300 or so magazine articles that we have. I fished for about 10 minutes without finding it. It would be in one of the later, retrospective articles from one of the "better" historical publications, and not in a contemporary rag like Popular Science or Car Life or whatever. I think that it was the same article that showed the abortive 196o design concepts and other mis-fires that never made it. Anyway, my memory says that this was an attempt at a replacement for the 1968 car - the year that saw the Fuselage styling debut instead. The drawing has a '68 El Dorado in it when I look at it, which may explain why they didn't follow through with that idea. http://classiccarfair.com/1968cadillaceldoradofleetwoodcoupe_lr34_402x302.jpg http://www.fedrelandsvennen.no/amcar/visitor/bilder/68el2.jpg -K --- Mark Evans <mark.a.evans@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Gang, > Found a cool Imperial concept drawing.Wonder if > anyone can identify the > year? > > http://www.imperialclub.org/temp/MarkE/000a-reg.jpg > > Appears to be something for '58? > > Mark Evans > 1963 Imperial Crown Convertible > http://www.imperialclub.org/~maevans/MyImperial/index.html > 1968 Dodge Polara 500 Convertible > http://www.imperialclub.org/~maevans/MyPolara/index.html > > > > > ----------------- http://www.imperialclub.com > ----------------- > This message was sent to you by the Imperial Mailing > List.
