I have older copies of Skinned Knuckles. One of the articles covered oil 
additives. The authors basically said do not use any whatsoever except for 
Marvel Mystery Oil. The reason was that it was an upper cylinder lubricant 
that basically worked better the hotter it got. It leaves a residue, an 
oily film in the upper areas that protect against cold starting.
