This weekend was a car weekend. Ahhhh. Lots of good progress. On the other hand, I tried to remove the shift cable from one of the 61 parts cars (cast-iron 727). The illustration in the manual is not exactly the same as the real thing, and the explanation is really sketchy. It seems there is a spring that retains the cable end, which must be somehow blindly pushed by a screwdriver via the hole where the neutral safety switch normally resides. Ahem. I have tried several size screwdrivers and many different blind pokes, but so far, no luck. Has anyone successfully done this with the tranny in place? Any magic tricks? thanks, jc John Corey CFIC-Qdrive, 302 Tenth St., Troy, NY 12180 USA 518-272-3565 fax: -272-3582 |
