Hi All....I vaguely remember this topic being tossed about some time (years?) back about the shift-indicator wire in the '66 Imperials (which is possibly also for the '64-65's). I was looking for an article on the website about how to replace the wires for the shift-indicator (that always seem to break). The only thing I remember reading someplace (and Please ! correct me if this is NOT true!) was that if replacing a broken wire for the indicator, you should use 'piano wire' to form the replacement. Is there a semi-detailed article someplace on the IML site that might lead me through this job? Sometimes IML members have found 'shortcuts' to doing some of the projects that have come up again and again and I wondered if this in one of them. Feel free to email me directly (dansgarage@xxxxxxxxxxxx) if you think the whole IML doesn't need to go thru kicking this around again. Thanks all!!
