RE: IML: 64 Iml clocks

My '64 Coupe was restored in 2000-2001. It had a "new" original type clock mechanism installed at that time. My clock was kept original and "ticked" and you could here the spring wind it when it would click very quietly, you could only hear it when the car was not running. Here it is in 2006 and my clock no longer works anymore. My clock restoration only lasted 6 summers. I keep my battery disconnected in the winter months while my car hibernates for the winter. I hear that its a bear to remove the clock since the entire instrument panel needs to be removed. I think my clock was done at "ClockWorks" or something like it. I know it was sent out by my restorer and I recall it was under $70. Good luck with your '64 clock

The clock in my 64 isn't working. A clock repairman examined it today and says the windings are fried, but mechanically it works. I'd like to convert it to a modern quartz clock. Anyone have experience with this type of conversion? or, anyone with a working clock for sale?Jay D'Angelo64 Iml CvtLas Vegas
