YEARS AGO I USED TO COVER MY CARB WITH A PIECE OF PLASTIC AND A HEAVY RUBBER BAND TO HOLD IT ON, UNTIL I FOUND A PLASTIC COVER, MADE BY "MR. GASKET", THAT GOES OVER THE CARB AND IS HELD DOWN BY THE AIR CLEANER NUT. THIS MADE IT EASY TO CLEAN THE ENGINE WITHOUT THE WORRY OF WATER OR CHEMICALS GOING DOWN THE CARB. STILL, IT AIN'T NO FUN CLEANING AN ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND IT WILL LOOK BETTER WHILE IT IS WET THAN WHEN IT DRIES!
