The other switch is used for the seek function of the radio. No kidding. You tap it with your foot, and the radio automatically seeks out the next strong station. This feature was available on the AM, and on the AM/FM mono radios from the factory. The Multiplex AM/FM units did not get this feature, though. My favorite trick is to have an ignorant bystander come and listen to my radio. I will then claim the radio has a voice-actuated function, that was "new for 1967". I will say "Seek!" in a strong, commanding voice, while secretly tapping the button with my left foot. The little orange indicator will begin its trek eastward on the dial, and the radio will lock into the next station. At this point, the bystander's mouth usually opens wide enough to catch a few errant flies, and they utter some indecipherable words of wonderment. --- Dennis <Barracuda360@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Ok, I'm not young, but not to old either.
