IML: Rear Axle Control Strut

Hola

Why is it that only the Imperial Family has the rear axle control stut  ( 
viewed as an insert on the 17-1 rear spg section of the parts book ) ???  I have 
a 1963 and a 1966 with this item.  The structure looks as if it has a very 
good controling of the axle's in-ability to " wrap on you or bounch " if you was 
to extend the right foot in a rapid manner for that full throddle launch.

Does this same part effect the body roll as if you are in a hurry while going 
around the city ???  Or towing a trailer ???
