Thanks for correcting me on the dashboard, Kenyon; I had no idea it was from a '59!

They must have used 2 or more cars for filming though - one interior shot shows the passenger front door having a lone window switch, then in a shot immediately after, there is the additional vent switch! I love how the studio added/left the power vent switches but kept/added the manual vent latches....heh. The driver's door also has the 6 switch setup and the manual vent latch.

A very interesting car; I wonder if the studio has plans to sell/reuse it, or if they already did. Anyone know offhand?

By the way, 'Lemony Snicket' is what got me obsessed with 1960-1963 Imperials. I had no idea such a marque existed before, even though my dad is a car aficionado.

The website has buttons on most pages that say CONTACT
US. That's the way to get ahold of the website folks
at any time, and we always appreciate offers to help
or contribute information.

Don't let the 1959 folks hear you calling that Lemony
car's dashboard a false dashboard by the way. However
misguided their tastes are (1960 was determined to be
the best Imp ever by me some time ago), I suspect that
they were all secretly pleased to see that part of one
of their cars show up in such a beautiful wrapper (a
1960). Why that non-1960 part showed up in the movie
is a stumper, but at least they kept things in the
family, eh?

The description that's up was posted mainly to staunch
the constant barrage of inbound messages to the site
from individuals that thought they were the first ones
to "discover" the car's placement in the movie
(thanks, guys!), even though we at impeiralclub.com
World Headquarters were aware that such a car was
going into the film before it entered production.

I for one am just glad that they hacked and glued 3
trashed 1960's to make that odd conglomeration and
were unable to locate their first choice - a true
Ghia.
