Re: IML: 1960 fuel pump

I second turning the engine a bit. You might have the wrong fuel pump, but most of us who have done the job have run into the same trouble because of the cam lobe and the rod being in the "push position". If you still can't make it fit, check the part number. Also, that rod can "drop" and may need to be repositioned before installing the pump. It is a nice snug fit, so it will usually remain in position long enough to insert the pump arm without too much fuss.

Subject: IML: 1960 fuel pump

I'm installing a new fuel pump from NAPA, their part number M3672. Does anyone
know if this is the correct one for a 1960? Am having trouble getting it
installed, lining up the bolts has been a headache. Or perhaps I need to turn
the engine a bit?

Thanks,
