Is it me, or is there a problem in my '66?

Kenyon:
If the linkage between the transmission is not adjusted or not working properly you get these symptoms. My knowledge of transmission function is extremely limited so I can't explain the why but somehow internal fluid pressures are controlled by the linkage movement. Try disconnecting that linkage from one and driving around the block and you will wonder if you are going to have to get out and help the engine push it along.
