Hi; The cast crank 440's came out about in 1972 or so. Even so I doubt whether a vibration issue would be related to whether the engine has a cast iron crank as opposed to a steel one, I would take a look at your harmonic balancer as well as the engine mounts. Other possibilities for vibration could be the transmission, the driveshaft, or even a worn out distributor.
