It's hard to go wrong with a '56. The 354 engine is great; powerful but fairly economical. We took a 3000 mile vacation trip last summer, kept meticulous records on fuel usage, and averaged 17.8 mpg door to door. These cars are comparatively simple to maintain as they were built before all of the electronic wizardry came into vogue.
Hey, what's wrong with the 1964. It ain't chopped liver is it? (:o). I like the 1962
Coupes best of all.
