IML: Promotional Imperials

Perhaps promotional means they gave it to her? Sort of free advertising by
such a famous actress?

That car is also in Hemmings with no price listed. I wonder what Promotional
means in this case? It would be neat if we could see pictures of it. Oh
well.

Chrysler Corp was loaning out a number of vehicles to bigger name stars in that period.  I used to own a '67 LeBaron that had been Bob Hope's car, though I could never positively verify it.  The owners manual had the VIN and Chrysler Corp West Coast Promotional Office or something very similar as original owner.  My car was a standard build, early production car w/ dual air and no climate control (no dial-a-prayer, AMEN!!!), but with clear, not tinted glass as found in all AC cars.  Apparently the clear glass was used on all promo cars for photo op reasons.  Some stars did purchase these cars and an ownership trail may be verified, otherwise, as in my case, it is nearly impossible to verify this history.  Chrysler Corp supposedly has no history on these vehicles and CA a not able to verify anything either.
