RE: IML: 67 Imperial for Sale

One of the other OIC members, Chris Sculthorp emailed me off list (he was having difficulty replying to the list) that he has actually seen this car.  Here are his comments regarding the listing.

For some reason I can't seem to reply to the IML list, so I've emailed you off list.

I checked out that 67 LeBaron last December, it was near Thousand Oaks, CA.

It was nice, definitely not pristine, & not custom built or some 'promotional' car built by Chrysler - a standard LeBaron. It had a white interior which had been partially redone and not too well. Paint is Sepia which I thought was a pretty awful color. Drove quite nice. The Maureen O'Sullivan connection was a bit vague also.

Hardly a 20K car in my opinion - maybe 8K.

That car is also in Hemmings with no price listed. I wonder what Promotional means in this case? It would be neat if we could see pictures of it. Oh well.

Hey all,

I just spotted a 67 LeBaron for sale in Mopar Collector’s Guide magazine.  It’s a bit out of my price range. ;-)  But the add reads as follows:

1967 Imperial LeBaron 4dr H/T:  Chrysler promotional car,

Custom factory built for movie star Maureen O’Sullivan.

CA car, all history since new, dual ac, pristine cond,

$20,000 obo.  805-496-1366  CA

Don’t know if it’s a members car or if a member would like it to be their car.
