My interchanges says that from 1957 thru 1961  will all fit. These are trans units less bellhousings and converter.  It says that the newer the trans the  better they are.  It also says this included chryslers, dodges, etc.

Can someone tell me what year and/or model vehicles have the same transmission (i.e. they can be easily interchanged) as a 1959 Imperial? For instance will the 1959 New Yorker interchange? What year Imperials will easily interchange?

I am beginning to have problems with mine and, although it may run for many more years and miles I thought about finding another, overhauling it and then installing it. It may be the best of both worlds!
