Yes, that is the 1942 Crown Imperial I was referring to.  Glad it is under
1942 where it should be, although that rear trim is not black out.  Black
out trim was painted a colour complementary to main body colour.   A black
car would have trim painted a light tan or grey, not black, and all trim on
the car, including the grille, would be painted..

No American manufacturer built cars during the 1945 model year, although
they did build trucks.  That 1945 Crown Imperial is actually a 1946 -
Chrysler did not begin production of the long-wheelbase models, including
the Crown Imperial, until spring /early summer of 1946.  Production of
regular Chrysler models began in November, 1945, and were sold as 1946
models.
